The softball team remains unbeaten as of May 8 with a record of 22-0, with some big wins to back it up. 

The team has beaten Maize (15-5), Bishop Carroll (12-2), and Valley Center (16-8). 

Along with the wins, the team has put up some impressive stats and numbers. 

The girls have been a power-hitting team all year. They have hit 26 home runs with four regular-season games remaining. Leading the way for the Panthers is senior Olivia Para with 10. Senior Karlie Demel has four and sophomore Addi Gutzmer has six.

While raking at the plate, Gutzmer has also dominated in the circle. In just 39.1 innings, she has struck out 73 batters and only given up four earned runs. Her ERA is 0.712 and her WHIP is 0.839.

Leading the team in innings pitched is senior Ashlyn Hamilton with 47.1, striking out 71 batters in her time in the circle. 

As a team they have a batting average of .439. Demel leads the team with a .586 average. 

While getting hits and hitting home runs is important, simply putting the ball in play is just as important. The team has a total of just 49 strikeouts at the plate, and not a single player has a double-digit strikeout total. 

The softball team looks to wrap up the season undefeated and head to the post-season to win the Class 6A state championship.
