Parcell: Songs worthy of being on repeat

Jordan Parcell

I go through phases with the music I listen to.

In middle school it was 80’s power ballads with a sprinkle of Elvis. Freshman year it was Panic! At the Disco and literally nothing else.

The last two years were a mix of literally every and anything.

This year has been a lot of Indie and R&B, although it does shift around quite a bit. Here are the songs that I currently have on repeat.

Steeeam and Natural by Shelly – Shelly is a band compiled of indie musicians such as Clairo and Claud. Since Clairo was involved, I obviously had to listen to it. I absolutely love both of these songs. I don’t know how to describe them other than saying that they vibe hardcore. I could see somebody driving around with the windows down to these songs.

Positions – Ariana Grande has developed a unique sound and I think that is shown in her newest album.

If I Didn’t Care by the Ink Spots – This song has very strong old jazz vibes. It’s on a lot of movies and T.V. shows that are set in the past. It’s very calming and I really like the lyrics.

Valerie by Amy Winehouse – The guitar in this song is very soothing. Amy’s voice is so beyond phenomenal, and I love all of her music but this song just hits differently.

White Tee by CORPSE – All I have to say is his voice. It’s so deep and easy to listen to. All of his music has a darker sound which is nice depending on your mood.
