On Sunday night, the Weeknd headlined the halftime show at Super Bowl LV.

Donned with his signature red suit and black gloves, he danced across glowing Vegas-inspired sets with his entourage of bandaged backup dancers.

“I liked that it wasn’t just him sitting on a stage just singing. It had more well-liked songs than what we have had in the past. It held your attention and was more entertaining than performances in the past,” sophomore Trenten Wilder said.

Others thought he didn’t quite hit the mark.

“It was good, not great. The songs were good, but he was just missing energy, like a part that really sparked everything up,” freshman Diego Vaquera said. “I would say it is not up to past standards. But also, it’s hard to beat Katy Perry’s performance.”

Junior Jarron King thought the performance was bizarre.

“I didn’t like the people with masks – that was a little weird,” King said.
