After dropping the first game of the season to Wichita Northwest 2-1, the Panthers quickly bounced back in the first round of the Titan Classic on Monday.

The Panthers played Wichita Heights and took care of business by winning 5-1. The  five goals were all scored by different players — Ciana Tovar, Kirsten Bourgeois, Cyerra Boyer, Faith Abou-Faissal and Logan Riley.

“Honestly it felt like any other goal I’ve scored. It was exciting, but I was ready for what was next,” said Boyer, a sophomore, after scoring her first varsity goal in Monday’s match.

The Panthers will face the Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles in the second round of the tournament today.
