Mantherettes return

The Mantherette-Pantherette performance is back.

Coming to the varsity boys halftime on Feb. 8 is a throwback tribute to the early 2000’s and 2010’s.

A selection of 15 boys from the senior class will pair up with the 15 girls on the dance team, where there will be partner dances, a boys dance and a girls dance.

“They are just a really fun group,” coach Gina Thrailkill said. “They all picked up the choreography fast, too.”

Some of the senior boys were surprisingly talented to both the coaches and the dancers.

“They’re all always smiling and having fun and they always have ideas,” senior Pantherette Jenna Gallegos said.

“We have had 90-100% attendance at every practice, mainly I think because they don’t want to take grief from their friends if they don’t show up to practice,” Thrailkill said.

The Mantherette performance is something students and staff alike look forward to, and this group is rumored to be one of the best yet.

“This group has set the bar high for future Mantherettes out there,” Thrailkill said.
