The girls are headed back to Koch Arena for another chance at the state championship.

The Panthers dominated twice this week, including a 57-20 win against Campus on Tuesday.

Tonight against Dodge City, it was looking like a possible 100 point game for Derby after a 51-6 halftime score.

The Red Devils were hard pressed to find those six halftime points.

By 1:35 in the first quarter, the Panthers already scored 22 to its 2.

Before the start of the second half, three Derby girls– juniors Tor’e Alford, Sydney Nilles and Kennedy Brown– already hit double digits.

Dodge City scored only one three-pointer all game in the third quarter.

The Red Devils also scored only once in the final quarter, similar to the first.

The Derby girls scored 20 points in the second half, more than Dodge City could the entire game.

The final score of 71-17 is the second highest margin win of the season with 54 points– right behind the 55 point win against Eisenhower.

Kennedy Brown now has over 1,000 points with one more year in high school.
