Derby seniors “over the school work” as year winds down

Seniors at the high school have 14 days left in the 2017-18 school year.

Most seniors have shortened schedules, however, these seniors still find daily attendance to be a difficult task.

With the impending stress and decision making, it’s not hard to understand why.

All seven students who were asked agreed they are “over the school work.”

Students who are enrolled in Composition classes had a not-so-sweet surprise when they found out they were assigned to read a novel with the five classes remaining. This class had not assigned a novel before.

“I feel like the novel assignment is kind of rushed at times,” senior Sydney Gregor said.

This is not the only example of curriculum based-classes cramming work in at the last second. It’s all something that students must go through during the final stretch of the school year.

“Getting everything figured out college-wise is enough stress alone,” senior Anna Scharr said.
